The gin that started it all from Yarra Valley based Four Pillars Distillery which only makes gin and does it damn well. The rare dry champions citrus notes with both lemon myrtle and orange along with dark Asian spices to create a bold and modern Australian spirit. They are the countries latest success story in the craft spirit world and this is a classic example of why.
Fun fact: This gin took out Double Gold in its first year entering in 2014 at the San Fransisco spirit awards.
Bold is what's in the glass here, this is the kind of gin that can tackle serious flavours and stand tall as the hero. Liquid and Larder have been supportive of Four Pillars since its launch with the Rare Dry and we have loved seeing them grow their delicious portfolio over the years.
Tonic with an orange slice was how we first fell in love with it. However, it makes a terrific Tom Collins served long over ice.
60ml Four Pillars Rare Dry
30ml Lemon Juice
15ml Sugar Syrup (1 part sugar: 1 part water)
50ml Soda Water
Shake the first 3 ingredients with ice and strain into a tall glass, top with soda water & garnish with a lemon wedge.
